Western Atlantic University School of Medicine, also known as WAUSM, is a medical school based in the Bahamas that was created with the intention of giving students the opportunity to become outstanding, patient-centered MDs. Our work for WAUSM was done in stages: before the school opened, and after they had welcomed their charter class.

Project Goals
WAUSM trusted us with building their brand from the ground up. I began by creating a brand style guide to establish a cohesive identity across all their materials. From there, I designed a website aimed at attracting prospective students to join their charter class. Once the charter class was established, our focus shifted to creating resources to support their medical school journey, including welcome packet PDFs. Simultaneously, I designed targeted landing pages and direct mailers to drive enrollment for future classes, ensuring future growth for the university.

Brand Style Guide
I created this brand style guide to establish a cohesive identity across all WAUSM materials. The guide includes logo usage info, color palette, typography, content guidelines, and applications of the logo such as email signatures and business cards.
Website and Landing Pages
The original website featured 3D renderings of what WAUSM could look like one day. As the school grew, real student photography was incorporated, evolving the site into what it is today. More content has been added over time, like the virtual campus tour on the homepage.
In addition, I’ve worked on a few landing pages and animated social ads to direct potential students to the landing pages.

Here are various physical items I designed with the logo and seal: T-shirts for students, postcards inserted into the direct mailer (shown below), and lanyards.
Printed Mailer
Throughout multiple semesters, I designed a series of mailers to capture the interest of prospective medical students. The mailers were in a tabbed format, making it easy to navigate key information about the MD program, clerkships, scholarships, student life, and application requirements. To help future students get familiar with the island they may soon call home, I designed a custom map highlighting key points of interest around the Grand Bahama campus – this map was later adapted into an interactive, clickable version for the website, enhancing the digital experience.
